Do you fabricate and install countertops?

Yes — we take care of everything from fabrication to installation. Once you’ve chosen your stone, we cut, polish, and inspect each piece at our shop before our team installs it in your home. Everything is handled by our own crew from start to finish, so you’re always working directly with us.

What areas of Connecticut do you serve?

We’re based in Naugatuck and primarily work within about an hour of our shop. That said, we do serve all of Connecticut — we just add a travel fee for projects that are a bit farther out to cover the extra distance and time.

What’s the difference between granite, quartz, and quartzite?

Granite is a 100% natural stone known for its durability, heat resistance, and one-of-a-kind look. It handles daily wear really well, though we recommend sealing it periodically to help avoid stains.
Quartz is engineered stone — natural quartz mixed with resins. Because of that, it’s non-porous (so no sealing needed) and tougher to stain. Just be careful with very high heat — always use a trivet. 
Quartzite is a natural stone that forms under heat and pressure from sandstone and quartz. It’s actually harder than granite, won’t etch like marble, and with proper sealing it resists stains well.

Does quartz need to be sealed?

No. Quartz never needs sealing — it’s nonporous and resists staining. Natural stones like granite, marble, or quartzite should be sealed periodically for added protection.

How do I clean and care for my countertops?

Accepted Answer

Use warm water, a soft cloth, and mild dish soap for everyday cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or acidic cleaners. For natural stones, reseal annually and use cutting boards and trivets for best results.

Can I put hot pans on my countertop?

Even though granite and quartzite are heat resistant, we recommend using trivets or hot pads. Quartz surfaces can discolor under extreme heat because of the resin content.

How long does the process usually take from template to install?

Our turnaround time is typically within 1–2 weeks after templating, depending on the size of the project. We create the template at your home, bring it back to our shop for fabrication, and quality-check everything before installation. Larger or more detailed projects can take a bit longer, as they naturally require more time and precision to complete.

Yes! We include two price-inclusive edge options — eased and pencil — and offer a variety of other custom edge options if you like something different!

How do I get an estimate?

To get started, send us a simple sketch of your layout with basic measurements (length and width) — even a quick hand drawing works!
Because pricing varies between stones, it’s important to choose one or two specific materials you’re interested in, along with your sink, backsplash, and edge preferences. These details help us give you the most accurate ballpark estimate possible.
Most of the finer details — like edge style, sink options, finishes, or rounded corners — are finalized in the office, where you can see and feel everything in person.
